Testimony from Australian Luke 8 Member Peggy Lawrence

Peggy's heart of Grace......................
Peggy was born in Melbourne, Australia at the Royal Women’s Hospital. She comes from a family of five. Her parents were both of Italian descent her dad worked in a brick factory and her mum worked in catering and cleaning and pressing clothes.
Peggy was favored in her family by her Dad, and even though he was rather gruff and could easily get ruffled and angered, she was his ‘princess”.
Peggy’s life then progressed through its many paths and turns, and eventually found her dealing with a marriage separation its emotional ups and downs.
At this time Peggy was at a crossroad in her life. It was here, that Jesus revealed himself in a special way, and gave her an enduring promise.
Peggy experienced the Lord picking her up, involving her in a new project and then bringing a beautiful surprise.
Peggy spent the following 16 months as a missionary in Vanuatu, in her Church Ministries University. It was here that she caught a new and lasting vision.
When she returned from her missionary journey Peggy was determined to raise money and gain donations of equipment and any other required need for the school in Vanuatu she had been part of for the last 16 months. She began visiting schools in her area in search of unwanted or excess materials or equipment.
On her return to Australia, Peggy also decided to choose to change her workplace environment to a secondary school, as previously she had worked in a primary school department. She knew that every experience that she could gain in this Secondary School environment would help her with her vision.
The school she began in held many challenges and Peggy found herself in tears and crying for help . She prayed and asked God to give her the strength and wisdom to overcome her many challenges.
It was here that she discovered her God had not left her, and renewed her vision and life, making even a footstool of her enemies.
Peggy always had a heart to give, and she also knew that working for a boss would not allow her to give as her heart was calling her to give.
She decided to make a fundraising with Chocolates her tool:
Every year Peggy would write her goals, and complete all the necessary bookwork, even though this was a challenge.
Peggy has now entered her sixth year of fundraising and she has found her lord faithful every year, in granting her the desires of her heart, with every year her fundraising growing bigger and bigger.
Many of the students who Peggy has shared her fundraising project with have been with her from the beginning of her work.
She has now opened her own trust to support her vision.
Her giving which initially began in Vanuatu, has now spread around the world.
Peggy’s work has included many projects.
For details of these projects email Peggy at: patandpeggy@optusnet.com.au
After a visit to Uganda in Africa Peggy now desires to be able to raise the needed funds to supply an entire well for the Ugandan people.
Peggy’s vision has inspired her to reach higher and higher, her challenges though have been without limit, but she has always found the Lord faithful to provide the necessary Grace for any given situation.
One of her many great joys has been to return to the University in Vanuatu and share in the experience of using items that had been shipped from Australia as part of her efforts. Peggy has now entered her sixth year of fundraising and she has found her lord faithful every year, in granting her the desires of her heart, with every year her fundraising growing bigger and bigger.
Please pray for Peggy as she continues to live out her dream, and as her God opens many more doors of opportunities for her to achieve her hearts vision and desire for Him.
