Neil Thomas Christian University (NTCU) was established in 1976 to give an opportunity for Ni-Vanuatu people to receive a good quality education and receive the training that would assist them to achieve the skills and standards in business, trade and academics that would Improve their quality of life and the economic, health, and educational standards in their country.
Neil Thomas Christian University (NTCU) offers an educational Program from Pre-school through to Primary, High School onto Tertiary Training in Vanuatu. NTCU’s Primary and High School Programs are recognized by the Vanuatu Government and Education Department for the receipt of financial assistance.
NTCU provides an education for Prep to Yr 12 using curriculum resources that follow the Victorian Essential Learning Standards with support from Donvale Christian College in Victoria. This is to prepare students for an opportunity to register to study under the Victorian Certificate of education (VCE) in year 11 and 12.
In 2005 a pilot project was established with Distance Education Centre of Victoria (DECV) to have students study the year 11 Victorian Certificate of Education (VCE) registered in Victoria. After these students successfully passed the year 11 units, an arrangement has been entered into with DECV for NTCU to have the year 11 and 12 students study under their VCE program enabling them to receive the same VCE qualification and university entry score offered to year 12 students in Victoria. From 2008 this program will be conducted in parthership with Donvale Christian College.
